What are Community Based Groups?
CBOs are organizations or groups registered or non-registered, voluntarily working in a community addressing social issues that affect their own status as well as the whole community such as health and development, gender human rights etc. These groups are initiated by members of a particular neighborhood with the purpose of addressing issues in their own vicinity.

Best practices are ones which are feasible; evidence based and has demonstrated good results.
Who is AWW?
AWW-Is the most imp functionary under the ICDS scheme, Under the Integrated Child Development Scheme, one anganwadi worker is allotted to a population of 1000. She is trained in various aspects of health, nutrition and child development. The duties of anganwadi worker are regular health check up, immunization Health education and Non-formal pre-school education.
Who is ASHA?
ASHA -is Accredited Social Health Activist /a trained female community health activist under National Rural Health Mission in every village in the country selected from the village itself and accountable to it, expected to work as an interface between the community and the public health system.
What is peer education? Who are peer educators?
Peer educator/leader-one that is of equal standing with another, one belonging to the same societal group especially based on age, grade, or status.
How is the Infant Mortality Rate (IMR) calculated?
Number of deaths in infants (children under age one) in a given year per 1,000 live births in that same year.
How is the Under Five Mortality Rate (U5MR) calculated?
Number of deaths among children under age five in a given year per 1,000 live births in that same year.
How is the Maternal Mortality Ratio (MMR) calculated?
Number of maternal deaths per 100,000 live births, where a maternal death is one which occurs when a woman is pregnant or within 42 days of termination of pregnancy from any cause related to or aggravated by the pregnancy or its management.

- Specify your donation details.
- Specify the mode of payment.
- Your selection will be displayed for review - address, tax status and passport number and whatever you had entered at the time of registration (or changed subsequently). Please check the information carefully and make sure that it is correct. If not, change them as desired.
- Once you confirm that the details are correct, you will be taken to the CitiB ank payment gateway. Fill in your credit card details. You will get an immediate confirmation of your donation. You will also receive an email message with a donation number.
Do I need any special hardware or software to donate online?

Is it safe to give my credit card details online?

Why do I have to register in order to donate?
You need to register so that we can send you a receipt. Registration ensures you enter it just once and it will be stored future donatious.
How can I donate online?
You can contribute by using your credit card online. Both Master and Visa are accepted. However, we do not accept American Express credit cards on the 10K Club site.
How safe is my personal information with 10K Club on the 10K Club site
What if my address or phone number changes?
You have complete control over your personal information on the 10K Club site. You can change all your personal data - name, address, phone numbers, email id. However you cannot change your user id and password.
What if I forget my password?
Please select the Forgot Password link. Enter your email-id and your password will be e-mailed to you.
Why do you need my passport number?
We require this information for NRI (Non-Resident Indians) donors who are Indian citizens having an Indian passport. This is because their contribution goes into a separate account as per the Foreign Contribution Regulation Act, (FCRA), 1976. ?
I notice you have mentioned dollars, but can I donate in sterling pound or any other currency?
We accept donations in all currencies offline. Online, we accept donations only in Dollars, Pounds, Euros and Indian rupees.
Are there any tax benefits for donating to 10K Club?
10K Club offers 30% tax exemption for you donation within India. Please select the same during your online donation process.
